What is mentalism? The basic definition states that thoughts are physical entities. While words are formed from letters, thoughts are made up of ideas. Each thought has its own particular features and all have their own harmonious arrangement. For example, human faces have an infinite number of features and can vary in both size and shape, making it impossible to have two identical faces. Even the smallest change in a face can be enough to make a person feel sad or happy.
The first recorded mentalist act was performed in the fifteenth century by Girolamo Scotto. These acts were based on a test of the mind's ability to predict the future. Today's mentalism performances can use telepathy, rapid maths, hypnosis, and clairvoyance. In fact, many of the earliest mentalist acts were performed in the nineteenth century. The term'mentalism' can be used to refer to all of these arts and forms.
In other words, mentalism is the performance of highly developed mental abilities. Mentalists may display telepathy, clairvoyance, divination, mediumship, mind control, and ESP. In fact, the performer's actions may be considered a form of a psychic entertainer. In addition to performing tricks, a mentalist also performs hypnosis. Aside from enhancing the listener's experience, a mentalist may make their audience feel as though they were seeing a movie in their head.

Master Mentalism:
There are many ways in which a mentalist can manipulate the mind. In the classic example of Orson Welles, a hotel clerk can influence a hotel guest's behavior by reading their clothing and shoes. In this case, the hotel clerk could decide the type of room a guest was staying in. It was an obvious example of mentalism. This was the first time the hotel clerks were able to detect wealth by their clothing.
The basic idea behind mentalism is that people cannot see the soul, but only the mind. This is a myth. It is not a religion, but rather a belief system. For example, the belief in the soul is not the same as the belief in God. It is also possible that a person can have a mental illness and still be mentally healthy. For this reason, a person may have an inherited mental disorder but they are not aware of it.
A mentalist can also predict future events. Although it is a bit of a cliche, it is a very real phenomenon. The concept of mentalism has been around for centuries and has evolved a great deal. It is a philosophy that acknowledges the existence of an internal and non-physical space. It is often referred to as a 'psychic entertainer', though it does not necessarily mean a person has a psychic capability.
